WHERE WE TALK ABOUT ANGER AND FRUSTRATION
Are you there?
Yes, we are here.
Today, I would like to talk about anger and frustration.
Anger and frustration. Emotions that at the moment are widespread among the human population, a result of the rising ideological divisions that exist in many parts of the Earth plane.
Yes, lots of anger and frustration at the state of the world right now.
This first thing you will need to bear in mind if we are going to closely examine your anger and frustration is that both of these emotions are, in essence, variations of fear.
That is something that I am aware of, but often forget.
On the physical plane there are really only two emotions – love and fear. That is what we mean when we use the word “duality.” Unlike non-physical, where only the vibration of unconditional love exists, the Earth plane was created with the option for experiencing what you are, which is love, and the opposite of what you are, which is fear.
We have been over some of this before, have we not?
Yes, indeed. But these core concepts cannot be repeated often enough.
Getting back to anger and frustration…
Yes, getting back to anger and frustration, it is important for you to acknowledge that these feelings are variations on fear. The same holds true for emotions like jealousy, resentment, hatred, confusion, disappointment, doubt, worry, blame, discouragement, revenge, distrust, grief, melancholy, depression, powerlessness, unworthiness and despair.
That is quite a list. How is it that all of the emotions that we generally see as separate are actually variations of the same thing?
When we say that all of these emotions are variations of fear, we mean that they are all aligned vibrationally with the same negative force. They all vibrate with degrees of the same low frequency.
I guess that makes sense.
You need not take our word for it. Search your own heart, your own mind, and you will realize that what we say is true. Let us start with your anger. Give us an example of something that you are angry about right now.
The state of the world, to begin with.
Try to be a bit more specific.
OK. At the risk of falling down a rabbit hole, how about the political situation in my country at the moment? So much division, so much intolerance, so much hypocrisy, so few who are willing to step up and speak from a place of truth. All of that makes me very angry and frustrated.
We in no way wish to minimize any of the feelings that you are experiencing due to the current state of politics in your country, but stop and take a breath for just a moment and ask yourself, what is the root of my anger? Why am I so angry if I know that the experiences I create for myself are my own, that I am in charge, and that no one can force me to experience the world in any way that contradicts my own desire?
OK. Yes, I’m starting to see. And it’s true. I’m actually angry and frustrated because I’m afraid. I’m afraid that those who do not share my world view, who seek to disenfranchise me, devalue me, lie to me and the rest of the world, limit my experiences to what they deem allowable and acceptable, I’m afraid that they will follow through on what they plan, which I fear might be the complete elimination of my way of life.
And so, your fear leads you to anger and frustration.
Yes. My fear of what may happen makes me angry and frustrated. When I focus on those things in life that I cannot control, I’m afraid. I get agitated and angry and frustrated and, in the process, I lose sight of my own power.
Of course you do, for your power does not lie with your anger and frustration, even though it may sometimes appear as if it does. Despite the energy that it can unleash, anger will ultimately blunt the force of your personal power if you allow it. And that’s not all. You also feel, do you not, that if you allow yourself to get angry and frustrated enough, those who you view as your enemies will have a change of heart, will back off, will see the error of their ways, and then all will be right with the world. And when you do not see that happening, when you do not see minds being changed, your fear increases, along with your anger and frustration.
Yes, all of that is true. Is there an answer to all of this then?
There is no answer because there is no question, is there? All emotional response is a choice. That is the only answer that you need to realize and understand. And it is always within your power to make another choice. To choose love over fear. That is why the physical plane was created with a simple vibrational duality in mind. In the end, you have only two choices – love or fear. These choices are always available to you at any given moment. But it is up to you to make the choice. No one can make it for you.
That is not always easy, especially when you are flooded with feelings of fear.
No one said it was easy. It is a great challenge to shift, to pivot yourself from a state of fear to one of love. But that is what your work here is all about. That is where your growth and expansion lie. With this choice. When you can look at a world that scares you and find a reason, any reason, to shift your perspective to one of empathy, of compassion, of understanding, of love. When you can look at those who scare you and say to yourself, “I think I know why they believe what they believe, why they are acting the way they are acting,” and say it to yourself with conviction, without any sense of capitulation, without yielding any of your own personal power, knowing that, ultimately, your true self cannot be harmed. When you are able to make that kind of choice, well then, you have truly remembered who you really are and why you have come.
I think we will stop there for today.
Of course. Until next time.
Thank you all.
