Yes, we are here.

Great. So, this is the first entry of our very first blog and I’m not quite sure how to begin.

We’re sure that whatever you decide, it will be fine. Just plow ahead!

Ok, I will. Except that I’m not sure how to proceed. That’s the issue. You are my guides, my spirit guides, my guidance team. Can’t you give me some advice on where to start?

Just be yourself.

Thanks, but to be honest, that’s often easier said than done, especially when you’re not always sure what it feels like to “be yourself.”

Let us ask you this question: What is your intention in writing this blog, in allowing the world at large to eavesdrop on our conversations?

They’re not exactly eavesdropping. We’re inviting them in.

Yes, of course.

In case you all forgot, this blog was as much your idea as it was mine.

Whatever you say.

Hmmm. We’ve barely started and already we’re getting off topic. The question is, how should I start? Should I tell them a little bit about myself and our relationship?

That would be good. But maybe not a whole lot about yourself, at least not at this point. You don’t want to bog down our readers with your entire personal history. Maybe it would better serve everyone involved if you allowed your personal data to unfold as the blog progresses.

OK, that’s good. I like that idea. I could say that I am just an average guy who has reached a point in his spiritual journey where he feels a calling to share some of the wisdom he has received from his spirit guides. Does that sound too lofty or pretentious?

Not at all. We particularly like your use of the word “wisdom.” But still, if this is going to work, you will need to trust yourself more. We’re never going to get anywhere if you judge every step you make. Just relax, tell our readers a little bit about yourself, and then jump in.

I do like the sound of that. I do like to “jump in!”

OK, then, JUMP!

But I want to make sure the readers have some context. Like, I could say that I have been a writer for a long time, but I used to be an actor years ago when I was much younger, and then I moved to NYC to pursue that career, but over time my focus shifted to writing and I have since spent the last 30 years or so working within the entertainment industry, only on the non-performing side.

That’s a fine start! If you want to provide more information about yourself, you could always weave it naturally into the conversations we have, or even create a small bio and provide a link to that somewhere on the homepage of this blog for those who are interested.

That’s good. But what about you? Don’t you think our readers will want to know something about you – who you all are, where you are located, why you are doing this, etc?

Well, again, we think that information is something that can be conveyed as we move along with our conversations. Let our readers discover it little by little. We don’t need to give it all away at the top. For the time being, we can say that we are a group of entities focused in the non-physical who have entered into a sort of agreement with you, as an incarnated being, to aid and assist you in navigating the physical plane. You are, after all, a spiritual being of light yourself, just like us, but one who has chosen to focus their awareness on the physical plane by incarnating in a physical form. That is part of your journey. To grow, and in the process, to help the Universe to expand. It is part of our journey to assist you in this process, not that it feels in any way like an obligation to us. There is only great love and compassion here for you and for all human persons. But more about all of that later, since this is a topic we will return to frequently. For the moment, the most important thing our readers need to know is that we are here, working alongside you, focused with you in your moment-to-moment existence on the physical plane, to help you remember WHO YOU REALLY ARE. That is our mutual goal, yours and ours. It is our combined intention to bring to the surface of your consciousness as a physical being the true nature of your enlightened self, and then to help you to experience that higher part of yourself while you are living on the Earth plane. That is why you incarnated and that is why we signed on to assist you, so that we too, even though we are not incarnated ourselves in physical form and never have been, so that we too may share in this journey with you. When you stop and think about it, or perhaps we should say, when you stop and FEEL it, it is a wonderous and exciting undertaking and we are honored to be a part of it.

Wow! OK. That’s all great. And a good start to our blog. I want to keep this first post short. There will be much more to come, but for now, I think we will stop and pick this up next time.
