Even though our blog is relatively new, I’m already getting questions from readers about you.

We’re flattered.

It’s only natural that readers would want to know more about you.

We did touch on some of the aspects of our nature in our first posting.

That is true, but there are some more specific questions now. For example, one friend of mine asked me “How old are your guides?”

Interesting. And how did you respond?

I was a little surprised by the question since I don’t really think of you in terms of age, but there you are. My friend was curious. And so I told him that you did not have an age. Would you like to elaborate?

We’d be happy to elaborate. You were correct when you told your friend that we do not have an age. We are eternal beings and, in a sense, timeless. So are you, by the way, along with all other human persons. In fact, that is one of the concepts that we are working to help you all remember. That you are NOT finite beings living out a limited physical existence, but rather eternal beings who continue to exist even after you have left your physical bodies.

I understand.

Regarding age, we are eternal beings, and as such have no real beginning, middle or end to our existence. At least not in the way that you would perceive from a human perspective. We are here in the present NOW. We have always been here in the present NOW. For us, there is no past or present. We just ARE and always have been and always will be.

That is a difficult concept for humans to understand.

Yes, it is a tricky notion for human minds to grapple with, but it is true nonetheless. All beings in the Universe, whether or not they are incarnated in physical form, are eternal. That is the nature of the Universe. It is and always has been.

So, at our core, in our true essence, we have no age either.

That is correct. You are eternal beings, temporarily enjoying time inside of your physical form, but ultimately, you will leave that form and return to Source. That is basically how things work.

I see. OK. Let’s tackle another question. “Can anyone channel?”

Certainly. The ability to channel one’s spirit guides is ingrained within the field of possibility of all living beings. Whether you choose to channel or not in a particular lifetime is completely and totally your choice. Everything that you experience in your life is based on your preferences, your choices. This is another topic that we will discuss at length as this blog continues, but for now, suffice it to say that not only can anyone incarnated in physical form channel their spirit guides, they are capable of much, much more.

So why doesn’t everyone channel?

That is a bit more complicated to explain. One reason is that the earthly plane has not evolved to a point yet where channeling is a common occurrence. Channeling is still considered something unique by most human persons. Even odd or strange or crazy by some. But trust us when we say that the ability to channel for any incarnated being is like breathing. Completely and totally natural. But depending on what a particular human person decides, channeling may not be a part of their earthly experience.

Meaning what? That in this lifetime, during this period of Earth’s evolution, that most people do not need to channel their spirit guides?

Need is a tricky word. We would say that for most human persons living at this time in Earth’s evolution, channeling is not yet considered a useful tool. There are still too many ingrained belief systems in place that make it difficult for channeling to become widespread, so for this moment in Earth’s timeline, until those old beliefs are shed and new ones take their place, channeling will continue to be approached with skepticism. It is much the same with energy healing. Energy healing is something that everyone can do, but for the moment, more of what you would call “traditional” approaches to clearing illness dominate your healthcare systems. Eventually these “traditional” approaches will give way to more advanced healing methods and the medical profession will evolve, much like it always has.

One more question for today and then I think we will stop. Now, this might seem like a silly question, but I thought it was funny when I first heard it, so I’m putting it out there.

Good. So, another friend of mine, in a joking mood, asked “Are your guides handsome?”

To begin with, we fail to see what is so funny about that question. Of course we are handsome. Why wouldn’t we be? In fact, “handsome” doesn’t even begin to describe us.

How so?

As you know, we are non-physical beings, which means we do not have faces, bodies, etc. We are beings of light and do not have the same sort of sense perception of form that you possess as a human person. But we do have, for lack of a better word, a “feeling” as to how we are composed, and we can tell you without the slightest doubt that we are the most incredibly magnificent beings you have ever seen. Words cannot really begin to describe us. But we are not unique in that regard. All of non-physical is a radiant, joyous, spectacular arena of light and love. And even though you might find it hard to grasp, you too are made of the same substance. You too are glorious and wonderous and filled with light and love. And that is because your true self, your real self, resides here with us.

That is a lovely thought! And on that note, I think we will stop. Until next time, then.
