WHERE WE CONDUCT OUR SEVENTH Q&A
Are you there?
Yes, we are here.
Today, I would like to do another Q&A.
We always enjoy a Q&A. What is our first question?
Question #1: Why is money such a central issue on the physical plane?
Answer #1: Many of your experiences as human beings center around the issue of money. For this reason, it is perceived by many to be one of the primary sources of personal power, and that is why it is such a central issue on the physical plane. In actuality, although we understand that this idea may be difficult for most to accept, money has absolutely nothing at all to do with power. It is merely an illusion. A symbol. True personal power comes solely from your alignment with Source energy. Money only has as much or as little power over you and your life as you allow. Again, we understand, given what you have been taught about money and the almost universal belief system held around the vital importance of money to “make things happen,” that seeing money, especially the lack of money, as an illusion is a challenging concept. But it is true nonetheless.
Question #2: Why it is often so difficult to practice the art of allowing?
Answer #2: Fear and resistance. Allowing what you desire to manifest in your experience, allowing yourself to access your own personal power, allowing the well-being and abundance of Source to flow into your life – these states of being are a threat to the fear-based belief systems of the ego and are often met with a great deal of resistance. Chief among these fear-based beliefs, one that is often ignored or overlooked, is the fear that you might actually manifest what you desire if you were to allow yourself to be completely open to the energy of Source. Fear of the unknown, even when that unknown quantity is exactly what you seek, exactly what will make you feel good and happy and peaceful and loving, hinders your allowing. So, if you can, replace your fear with a bit of trust, trust that there is nothing to fear and that the Universe is always looking out for you and always, always, has your best interest at heart.
Question #3: Why do we always seem to be looking for love in all the wrong places?
Answer #3: You cannot look for love in all the wrong places because there is no such thing as a wrong place. You are simply looking. That is what you came here to do. Look for yourself, your true self, the higher part of yourself that is composed of unconditional love, so that you can experience that part of yourself and then share it with others. But since you have forgotten who you really are, the search often proceeds by trial-and-error. Yes, it is true that some humans seem to deliberately seek out the opposite of who they really are, but that is only to experience the contrast between who they are and who they are not. Once feeling good becomes your priority, that impulse begins to subside and everything becomes much easier. That is why we so often recommend looking for aspects of your daily life that make you feel good, that give you a thrill, that make you feel alive, that fill your soul with kindness and compassion and love, for when you encounter those things, you have found yourself.
Question #4: One of our readers has asked if something like aversion therapy can be effective in keeping yourself from engaging in addictive behavior.
Answer #4: We are not in favor of therapeutic techniques that involve punishment of any kind. With aversion therapy, you are attempting to use fear to instill a sense of self-love and that is never the best approach when it comes to changing behavior. Fear cannot force you to love and respect yourself, or anyone else for that matter. In addition, aversion therapy keeps your focus on what you do NOT want when your focus should be centered on what you DO want. Instead, the best route lies in your ability to increase your awareness of how such behavior makes you feel, then working to make another choice. This takes consistent practice and commitment, which is why many human persons give up, sometimes before they have barely begun. Just remember that these types of situations are opportunities for growth, opportunities to access your own power and to further your journey towards remembering who you really are.
Question #5: This is a question that you have answered many times before, but it is always helpful to hear the answer again – how can we use our current unwanted experiences to manifest experiences that we do want?
Answer #5: If you are experiencing something that you do not want, do not use the moment to complain or gripe or worry that you are not attracting that which you desire. That will only hold the energy of the unwanted experience in place. Instead, use the experience as an opportunity to decide what you do want. “If I don’t want this, if this is not what is bringing me any pleasure, then what DO I want? What will make me feel better than the way I feel now?” Do you see? Every time that you feel less than good, you have an opportunity to make another choice, to use the contrast between what you do not want and what you do want to move one step closer to manifesting your desire. Remember – within the heart of every experience, no matter how desperate or dire, lies the seed of transformation. All you need to do is call it forth.
I think we will stop there for today.
As you wish. We look forward to our next conversation.
Thank you all.
