WHERE WE TALK ABOUT PEACE
Are you there?
Yes, we are here.
We have spent a lot of time in our discussions on what you frequently refer to as low-frequency, fear-based emotional states like anger, frustration and anxiety. I thought it might be nice to spend some time talking about emotional states on the more positive side of the scale. So today, I’d like to talk about peace.
Peace is who you really are, along with light, love, compassion, joy, appreciation. It is the vibration of these qualities that form the core of your very being.
If that is true, and I believe it is, why is peace so elusive?
Because you have forgotten who you really are and why you have come.
Yes, of course. That seems to be the reason behind most of the difficulty we experience as human beings.
Rather than focusing on your state of metaphysical amnesia as a difficulty, we would suggest thinking of it more as a challenge and an opportunity to achieve growth and expansion during your journey on the physical plane. That is why peace – inner peace, world peace, peace on every level – is such an important part of the human experience. Peace is who you really are. It is what you are searching for, what you are striving to manifest on Earth – to experience your true self while incarnated within your physical form. That is the primary challenge of your human beingness. To experience your true, loving, peaceful self while surrounded by that which is not always loving and peaceful.
But how do we get to that point? At times, peace of any kind seems so far away.
During our conversations together, we have provided you with many tools to help bring a peaceful state of mind into your experience, meditation chief among them. As we discussed many times in our posts, meditation is an excellent means of quieting the mental chatter that dominates your thinking. By sitting quietly and focusing on your breath, even for a short length of time, you invite a sense of peace and calm into your field. The next time you sit and meditate, try shifting your attention from the words you are hearing to the quiet space between the words. There is always silence to be found, even when the chatter is at its most strident. Once again, it is all about focus and where you place your attention. Practice looking for the silence between the words during your meditations and eventually it will become second nature for you, finding that place of inner peace and contentment.
I heard someone once say that all creation emerges from the Void. I have never been sure what that means exactly, but does this Void have any relation to the place of inner peace and contentment within ourselves that you are talking about?
Indeed it does. We have not spoken of the Void before now, but there is a connection between a feeling of inner peace and the Void from which all creation arises.
Could you talk a little bit more about this Void? I think that Genesis begins by talking about the Void, that God created the heavens and the earth out of the Void. It all sounds a bit scary – THE VOID! – but if it is the space from which all creation arises, then it must be pretty important.
Actually, we would not refer to the Void as an actual physical space, although it is hard to describe it otherwise to the human mind, so we will use the words ”space” or “realm” for now to keep things simple and clear. The Void, so-called, is the realm of infinite vibrational possibility. Everything exists within the Void and nothing exists within the Void. It is the alpha and omega of the Universe. In a sense, it IS the Universe, for all and nothing exist there simultaneously.
You’re losing me.
As we said, it is a very difficult concept for the human mind to grasp. Many have tried over the centuries to describe the Void in earthly terms, and while some have come close, it is virtually impossible to convey a sense of it in a fully coherent manner. Think of it in this way – the Void is the quiet, the peace, the stillness, the space of potential from which all things, formed and formless alike, arise.
OK. I think I am getting a sense of what you’re talking about. Does this Void resemble in any way the peace and stillness that we seek when we meditate?
It is one and the same.
So, the Void exists within my own consciousness.
Indeed. And it is from this Void, this realm of peace and stillness abiding within your own mind, that all of your thoughts and desires emerge. It is the collective consciousness of the Universe and the font of your personal creative existence.
I didn’t realize when I decided to talk about peace today that we would be having such an esoteric discussion.
Most of our conversations have centered upon your human existence and the challenges that you face as an incarnated being on your journey towards remembering who you really are. You do not necessarily need to know or understand anything about the Void to complete your purpose on the Earthly plane, but it does add a fascinating aspect to what you ordinarily perceive of as reality, does it not?
As you would say, “Indeed.”
Is there anything else that you would like to discuss regarding the Void, or peace, or any other related topic?
I think that may be enough for today. I will need some time to process these ideas. I don’t want to forget, though, why we started this conversation, and that was to explore the importance of peace in our lives.
As we have said, peace, stillness, quiet, that is what you are, what you really are. You simply need to look for it, not only within your own mind, but in the world around you. And when you find it, keep your attention focused there and you will draw the peace and stillness of the void into your daily life. That is all that you need to do to quiet your world, both inside and out, and enjoy the solace of everlasting peace.
Thank you all.
