WHERE WE FURTHER EXPLORE THE TOPIC OF DIVERSITY
Are you there?
Yes, we are here.
Today I’d like to pick up where we left off last time with our discussion of diversity.
Of course. Diversity is a fascinating subject and we would be more than happy to continue our conversation on this topic.
Great. So, last time, we were talking about how scary the idea of diversity can be for some people. That it can be a sign, a trigger, if you will, that things are changing, that not everyone is simply falling in line the way they used to and are instead starting to take control of their own power and their own voice. And that is a frightening thought for some.
Indeed.
But now what we are starting to see, especially among younger people, is a move towards more and more ACCEPTANCE of diversity. It’s as if kids are sick and tired of being told that they cannot be or act in a certain way, for no reason other than fear, and they are rebelling, but in the best possible way, by just being themselves. This is a sign of movement forward, is it not?
To be clear, diversity of choice on the Earth plane is nothing new. Diversity, as we have said, is and always has been an integral part of the physical plane experience, despite what some would have you believe. The difference is that now there is a growing, visible awareness and acceptance of this diversity on the part of the general population. Sometimes, bringing this kind of awareness to the surface is, as humans would say, “like pulling teeth,” but it is happening nonetheless. More and more individuals are coming to realize that diversity is a vital part of life’s experiences, part of the natural evolution of the physical plane. This is cause for great joy, for as you say, this awareness is movement forward, it is progression, it is growth and expansion. That is why diversity is so important. It allows for different choices to be made, for you and every other human person to look out at the world and say, “I like that. I will experience that” or “I’m not too keen on that. I have no desire to experience that.” Without diversity and without choice, there would simply be no reason for the physical plane to exist.
But problems do arise when people look at the diversity of choices available to us, particularly at those that they personally do not want to experience, and pass judgment on them, establish rules against them, march against them and construct laws to prohibit the personal choices made by others.
Fear of the differences, of the diversity, can indeed cause many to respond with resistance, again because they fear they will lose their power as well as their own sense of identity. “Who am I, if what I thought I was, and what is considered proper for everyone else to be, can be changed, can be altered to suit an individual’s personal whims? That must be wrong. That must be selfish. That must be sinful. Certainly, God would not want it to be what way.” This fear, which many believe holds the social fabric together, often succeeds in creating only instability and discontent.
It does seem that as the awareness of our natural diversity grows, so does resistance to it.
The often intense resistance that arises in opposition to the widespread diversity in your culture, with thought and opinion, certainly, but at the moment most markedly in the area of identity – gender identity, sexual identity, social identity, etc. – is actually, despite the sometimes brutal nature of the resistance, a very positive development. What you are seeing, what is actually happening, is that the old social, political and cultural belief systems that have been buried beneath the surface of the collective consciousness of the Earth plane over the course of many, many years are finally rising to the surface and are releasing.
It would be nice if the releasing part could be a bit less painful at times.
Yes, but unfortunately, that is how things work. For old energies to find release, they must rise to the surface of the universal mind and then move into the light. When that happens, you as individuals may experience the emotional pain that often accompanies the release of low, repressed energies. That is why there is such forceful resistance at times. Human persons do not like change. They feel that change brings chaos and pain. And sometimes it does. The trick is to trust the process and avoid resistance when possible. Less resistance generally means less pain.
It’s almost as if we have to re-experience the emotional energies behind these old, entrenched belief systems so that we can see them, acknowledge them and release them.
That is correct. Growing awareness of the diversity on your planet is actually triggering the release of old fear-based belief systems. These are fears of anything that is different or forward-thinking, anything that is seen as a threat to the status quo. The higher vibrations of your planet’s growing awareness are literally pushing these old fears up and out of your collective energy fields. It is all a part of the process of growth and expansion.
Do you think it is possible that some day we will be able to live in peace with one another while also respecting the various choices we make?
Absolutely. In fact, that is what we see ahead for all of you.
When do you think that might happen? In my lifetime?
We would not take it upon ourselves to predict exactly when that might happen. Given the variable nature of time and space on the physical plane, it is hard to predict an exact timeline for any event or occurrence. But that is the direction in which Earth’s evolution is moving. It is a process, a process of healing, which is ultimately a matter of bringing light to those places where darkness still abides. It is only a matter of time before it manifests. As for when, no one can say. It will happen when it happens.
There is still so much more to be said on the topic of diversity, but I think this might be a good place to stop for today.
As you wish. We look forward to our next discussion
Thank you all.
