WHERE WE EXPLORE THE IDEA OF REINCARNATION, PART 1
Are you there?
Yes, we are here?
Today, I would like to talk about reincarnation. I realize that this is a very large topic and that we won’t be able to cover it all in only one or two posts.
We would be more than happy to discuss the process of reincarnation with you. It is a fascinating subject, even to those of us in non-physical who have, like ourselves, never incarnated on the physical plane.
Maybe we could start with some of the basic ideas behind reincarnation. Sort of Reincarnation 101.
Of course. To put it in the simplest terms possible then, reincarnation is the process which enables non-physical beings to incarnate multiple times on the physical plane until such time as they no longer wish to incarnate.
That seems pretty simple. But certainly, reincarnation is a more complex process than that.
Yes, of course. The metaphysical aspects of reincarnation are complex indeed, but we do not need to go into all of those details in this post. We would need a very, very large textbook to accomplish that.
That’s fine for now. But you seem to imply that the number of times a being reincarnates is completely up to the individual being
That is correct. As we have said many times before, everything that you experience, whether you reside in the physical or non-physical, is a choice. It is the same with the process of reincarnation. You decide how many times you want to incarnate. And when you decide that you have had enough and you want to experience something else, then you no longer incarnate. Yes, it is true that the process of reincarnation is a complex one, but the decision-making part of the process – when and how many – is relatively simple. The same holds true for each individual lifetime. When you decide that you are done with a lifetime and there are no longer experiences that you wish to create for yourself, your focus, the attention you are giving to that lifetime, is withdrawn, and that part of your energy returns to non-physical.
For some reason, it didn’t occur to me that we would do the choosing. I thought then when we pass from a particular lifetime and return to non-physical, that there is a period of reflection where your progress is examined by the powers that be and then it is decided if you can go back and if so, in what form you will return.
That is not exactly how things work. For starters, there is no mandatory period of reflection, unless that is what you choose. And there is no examination by, say, God, Saint Peter or any of the other “powers that be.” There is an exchange of energy, of course, since all beings are a part of the whole, a part of Source, and so the energy of your experiences on the physical plane is shared with the whole. After all, the purpose of physical incarnation is to help Source grow and expand, and communication is a large part of that process. But each individual part of Source has much more control over when and how they reincarnate on the physical plane then you might realize. As we said, there are no tests for you to pass. There is no review board. The decision to reincarnate is made by both the individual being and Source as a whole, all at the same time, if that makes any sense.
Not really, but I’ll take your word for it. Still, it has been my understanding with reincarnation that one lifetime builds on another until enlightenment occurs and then you are done with the trials and tribulations of earthly existence and that is when reincarnation stops. I mean, it is a prevalent idea among humans who believe in reincarnation that you work and slave and suffer your way through your lifetimes and then when you reach a certain elevated stage, you’re done and free to explore other options.
We believe that what you are referring to when you describe working through your lifetimes until you become enlightened centers on the idea of karma. Are we correct?
Yes, karma. How does karma work?
Technically, there is no such thing as karma. At least not as you would define it. It is a concept whose real meaning and function has become somewhat distorted throughout the history of the Earth plane.
How has it become distorted?
The idea of karma has come to be understood by many human persons who believe in reincarnation in much the same way as Christians view the idea of sin, punishment and redemption. If you are bad over the course of a lifetime and do bad things, then you will suffer in your next lifetime and come back as a lower form of life. If you are good over the course of a lifetime and do good things, then your next lifetime will be better and you will come back in a higher form. Of course, this is a very basic description of how karma is viewed by humans and we mean no disrespect to those who hold the idea of karma to be sacred. At the same time, this idea of karma has been so greatly expanded upon over the years by human persons, becoming more and more complex, more intricate, with different tiers, different layers, different types, both good and bad, that it has grown, for many, into an overly-elaborate, sometimes confusing set of beliefs that govern the way you live, or should live, your lives.
Then how would you define karma and how it relates to reincarnation?
We would simply define karma as energy. Or to be more specific, energetic information. Each lifetime that you spend on the physical plane accumulates energetic information within your field. Some of that energy is light and vibrates at a high frequency and some of that energy is darker and vibrates at a lower frequency. Regardless of its frequency, that information never ceases to exist, is always available by and through Source, and is ultimately used to evaluate and fine-tune choices made by any and all reincarnating beings regarding their particular lifetime experiences.
That all sounds very, very technical. In fact, I get the sense that you would really like to convey much more technical information to me regarding the process of reincarnation, but you cannot proceed because you know that it would be virtually impossible for my human mind to comprehend everything you want to convey.
We would say that that is an accurate assessment of the situation.
Well, then, why don’t we stop here and continue our conversation next time.
An excellent idea. Until next time then.
Thank you all.
